Think BSS/OSS Integration Is Hard? See What Verizon Has to Say About It

What if you could shave 21 months off the BSS/OSS integration of a new system into your network?  At last month’s Calix ConneXions 2018 Innovation and User conference, we found out that Verizon is doing just that.  As any service provider knows one of the most challenging and costly tasks when adding new software platforms to a network is the BSS/OSS integration.  During Lee Hicks’ (VP of Network Planning, Verizon) keynote at ConneXions, he talked about how they are moving their network to their Base Network Controller (BNC) and he expects it to only take three months. The BNC integration is direct to the AXOS software platform on the E9-2 Intelligent Edge System. There is no mediation layer.

You can listen to Lee’s keynote below and, if you like, you can jump straight to this exciting news at the 8:34 mark.
