Five Best Practices for Building a Successful Intern Program
Every successful company needs a strategy to attract a regular and reliable pool of talent. This means hiring a mix of early talent just out of school, early professionals and experienced hires.
For Calix, talent acquisition starts very early by creating impactful internships for college and university students. This helps build a great pipeline for future hires. A key part of this commitment has been our embrace of a virtual work-from-anywhere approach and this summer we are tripling our intern hires with 40 roles across most departments.
Watch this special webinar “Five Best Practices for Building a Successful Intern Program”. We shared our experience and best practices with building the Calix virtual internship program.
We discussed ways to:
- Create an enriching and impactful intern program
- Build a pipeline for future talent by selecting top intern candidates
- Onboard, train and assign projects for interns to work effectively in virtual settings
