The GigaPro GPR8802x provides ethernet device termination for applications requiring a fully managed professional grade indoor layer 2 system. When partnered with the Calix Wi-Fi systems, the GPR8802x offers wired connectivity and PoE source power for maximum flexibility in delivering SmartLife Managed Wi-Fi solutions.
As part of the Calix Broadband Platform, the GigaPro GPR8802x is fully integrated with the Calix Cloud providing secure management and operational consistency for ease of deployment, managfement and troubleshooting.

The Calix GigaPro® GPR8802x is a next generation intelligent, managed switch supporting a variety of SFP+ modules as a fully integrated system. The GPR8802x provides a high capacity 802.3bt PoE PSE power budget that allows up to eight high power PoE devices (PDs) to be connected. Flexible LAN interface configurations enable a wide variety of multi-tenant and business applications, including the latest generation of Unlimited Subscriber Wi-Fi PoE wireless gateways and satellites. Equipped with POTS functionality, the GPR8802x extends standard voice services to subscribers.
The GPR8802x is managed by the Calix SMx management connector as part of an end-to-end PON or Active Ethernet (AE) solution.

The GigaPro GPR8802x is a fiber-based layer 2 switching device suited for applications where services are primary delivered through ethernet. A business-grade networking system with power delivery capabilities that are needed to power phones, cameras, sensors, lighting and more. The slim design allows for easy placement within a 19” rack or the average telephone closet shelf.
The GigaPro GPR8802x offers power distribution minimizing a reliance on multiple AC power feeds reducing operational expenses.

The GigaPro GPR8802x offers a range of use cases to enhance any of the Calix SmartLife Managed Services offering. When deployed as the central network control, the GPR8802x offers layer 2 switching directly to devices or can be couples with Calix Wi-Fi systems to bring wireless coverage to all areas of a small business or MDU cost-effectivity. When needed, voice ports can be activated to provide a digital extension of the POTS network.
